for everyone

This is the best hardcore trip i had so far...5 cars on my group, all with 2JZ-GTE engine except the Disco with it original V8.LD90,Disco and Jeep YJ with portal axle,me LC2 and Jeep CJ with ninja axle then also all with front/rear locker.Other group front Kuala Lumpur gang with 2 high mod car and 3 light mod units.

I took off to Bertam Valley on thursday night to meet up my group and stay a night there, the next day morning we drive to the Hot spring at the route to Gua Musang and meet up with KL gang.when we found out that there is few light mod car with them,we their group at our follower so we car go ahead and do the clearing and repair job.

Ok...we start our trail at Pos Hendrop.no one had complete the trail for over 10 years, even the Rainforest Challenge group cant make it through on the RFC 04.Only till 5 months ago...one group from Cameron had work their way through on a 7 days trip.Anyway..just after only 5 months, some new landslide had broke in and also few brigde that build by earlier group ahd fall apart. So we are having a good time work our way there..3 days driving, without bath for 3 days, camp on the middle of the trail,no proper campsite but i m deeply enjoy the trip.all of us had been fall to deep gully more that once..is hard to see the trail condition with the plantation as high as our car bonnet.KL group had 2 car flip over,1 rescue on the spot.the other had to bring few more good rig the help..cos there are few hours behind our group so i actually dont know how bad the condition are and got no picture of that also.

anyway they had recover the flip car week later.

I could like to have another go to this place again...

A relax 1 night trip...joint few that had not been going offroad before or few that had not been going offroad for quite some time, just as a gathering i think.

Not much trouble we face...only a down winch from the Jeep on the way in so i made the on site repair.a drop steering box on the Zuki on the way out and do some temporaly fix to drive back with no problem.

Again another trip to the same location with different group...this we going by 2 group.1st group had went it an hour earlier then mine and we didnt do catch up with them. There is only 3 car on my group which make the going easy..stay there for 3 night which is the longest stay i had done so far there.

the picture are taken by JeepNg and his camera stop working on the last day as his Jeep winch and long shaft.hehe...so no pic front the trail back.

Going back is the different story...which we almost as depart as the same time and 2 more car coming to meet us half way of the trail, this make the winching time get longer and longer. On top of that, the Jeep on my group had a fail winch and a broke front long shaft which mean had to toe him all the way out.And it take us about 16 hours to clear the trail and i reach home at 3am on Monday.

This is the longest time i get on the trail....too many light mod car and too little men power is the cause

Again an trip to Lasor or may i call Lata Kijang cos we have go through Lasor and past Lata Kijang and making our way futher in and found another campsite.but we are not stay the last campsite cos it need some clearing to be done.

As usuall the drive till the 4th river face no problem..our lead car had stuck on the 5th river for twice which relay our time there. As a lead car u dont how the condition on the bed of the river,is hard pack the last time we are there but now is about a foot deep of loose sand.We stay at our previous campsite for the 1st night then almost all of us going futher inside the next day.only me and few other stay back to guard our camp, they have make their way about 3 hours drive futher in.Passing few mud pit and clear few fallen tree...as the GPS show,we will reach another river flow into Lata Kijang about 1km in straight line.I didnt get the picture of most of the action cos i m not there but our photographer had record all of it and make it into dvd for us.

Anyway we have our most enjoy and costly lunch in our offroad history. The food cost us at about rm1.8k...and we have 1 of our lunch in the river.Stream Boat....

We are planing another trip there again and again till we reach the river show in the GPS.

As i writing this..there is sound from our group that we going again next week.

Cant actually remember the date on this trip...picture are taken by my 9 years old son.

the plan is to have an family camping...so there is bone stock Triton, light mod Fortuner,Discovery and Strom.heavy mod Discovery and Land Cruiser 2 to be guarding the group. This is a 26km offroad drive to the campsite,it go smoothly till we face a landslide which abandon few huge rock on our path. The 2 heavy mod car have to squeeze through than winch the rock from the other way but before the car can squeeze through, men power is needed to push the rock bit off our way. After this again is a smooth drive till campsite.

although this is a family trip...the 2 heavy mod car are which have damage among the group.the Disco had a broken shock and my car face a damage clutch which had to be toe back to my house.

maybe the heavy mod car not use to be drive with so gentle.

this is not an easy climp it took me 3 hours to hike to the top...but the result are fantasy.cant imagine they build house n castle there long time ago,and the view are awesome.yet i m not dare to climp up the big rock at the peak.

for everyone

hi..had long time never update my site as my camera down on me so below picture are taken with my handphone.hope you dont mind about the quality.

Make a long drive trip to Bangkor on this April for the Bangkor Motor Show, actually we arent ain for the show,we actually visiting a offroad buggy workshop and a offroad event at outskirt of Bangkor.Stop by Hatyai to shift to my friend car, only to find out that his still not yet complete the absorber change work.so we have to make our hand dirty to speed up some time cost we have about 11hours drive to go and it 9pm now.

For the night..i cant recall how many stop we did put in but the night is long.finally i saw salt field by the road side and Bangkor are not far away,we didnt stop at Bangkor but straight to the buggy workshop which is an hours away from town.this visit did open up my eye how well their handcaft is,atfer this we headed again further down to Pattaya for a night cost since we are not far from there.

Next day we going to the Motor Show..nothing interested us on the show, mainly car and girl and we only stay there for halfday.one night at Bangkor then the next day we took 2 hours drive to the east and attend a offroad challenge there, get the feel of different type of offroad challenge compare to Malaysia.this is more interesting us than the motor show which we stay here for 2 days.

I found a rat stall by the road side...we firgure it could be our boosted for at 13hours drive back to Hatyai.

Not offroad trip this time..invited by my friend to tag along on his boat for a crab fishing trip. The boat are store at Juru fishing vilage and we arrive at 9pm,when we finish pack up the the stuff to the boat is about 11pm and start our 2 hours journey the one of the small island South of Penang Island. We drop our 1st set of trap at about 2am..and then the 2nd set. Then we start fishing..not much catch of that night went on sleep.I wake-up early the next morning only to find out we had park our boat only few inchs of a hidden rock just under the surface, lucky we didnt hit it the night before.if not we may have to swim...we move the boat and find a safe spot to park and have our breakfast. Not much we get from the trap..we headed home at 10am and make a pit stop at a shadow place near Penang Bridge, this is where u get few inchs of water depth at middle of the sea.when we are there, the tide had coming in so it get about 3-4 feets of water. There is still people catching shell of the area but they had started to move out cost of the tide.Since we are there,we try our best to catch few of it.Eventually we end up buying it from the last fishermen that leaving the area.

No a bad trip tough...

BTW they can come over again to do another buggy frame if someone interested on.so who interested can contact me.

Planed to go Gubir this time but then the holiday are too short for that long trail,so we head back to Lata Kijang. It should be a ussual drive to there cost we have been there many time but then we are bringing a fresh blood to offroad,he just brought his SWB LC II.His making lot of action for use tough..and also we got a flip Zuki on the way in this time.hehe...other than that,we got no problem till the campsite. The major problem we face, are from the new blood LC.the main wiring from the engine had come loose but not completely fall of,it take me few hours to check the car for faut.i change the fuel pump,ECU,air-flow,plug any thing that could think of.only to find the loose wire socket hours back.Anyway the new guy cant stop the joy after the trip..and waiting for the next trip.

This is the trail use by Rainforest Challenge 06.i never been the trail before just heard that where the trail head to be and follow some rumors, and we get lost few time that cost us about few hours drive.anyway we make to through the hole trail,it took us about 24 hours drive to complete the trail.is not that hardcore trail anyway but we face alot of fallen balak and very narrow trail which it need to do some clearing to past through. We start our journey on the trail head by 1am midnight and get to the campsite by 5pm,i got so tired that i fall asleep put my head on the steering wheel.lucky we got lot of men machine with us,13 guys with 5 cars...thats mean we can take turn clearing the trail and other get some rest or sleep.on top of this..we have a broken long shaft, snap power steering hose, snap steering box mount Jeep cherokee, one broken side screen LandCruiser 2.the other excape in piece.

There are few nice campsite, the place we camp have a small waterfall on one side and a very huge river on the other. Is nice i get change to explore new place and we had plan to go back again the next trip but this time the other around meaning back track.which make the trail harder cost there is few uphill with deep rut the get over.

see u next trip...

This my 1st trip to Thailand on my newly brought Kawasaki ER6-N..i had a pit-stop at my friend house at Haiyat, stop a night here and make a 3 hours ride to Trang the next morning.

NAS Chelenge are few of the big challenge at Thailand, team from all over Thailand participant on it.Mainly all competitor are using high modifly buggy, there also few Malaysia team participant as Loo from Johor and Sang from Rawang etc.The competition enviroment are different there, participant are queue by the SS rather than our local that had to call for thier atentend,so u have unstopp action happen around the field.Nice..i m sure will be back there for next year.

I also manage to have time for Trang local night market, visit Songkra and few place at Haiyat.what i miss the most is the streambot at Haiyat, they got so many food there for you..is easily over 100 type.who is a streambot fan, makesure u dont miss this shop at Haiyat.

Is fun to travel by bike...i m planning for long trip in future.

Yet another trip to Lata Cermin...this trip is hell for 2 japoly that haven make it to there,a Rosta and Zuki...as usual we have our night drive there and have fun driving till next day morning.Just at the 2nd obstacle, the Rosta long shaft give way and we had to abandon it there.is not hard this time cost we all had know where to winch and where to void,is unofficialy i make myself there without any winching.why i say unofficialy cos i try to winch once but the cable snap, thats it..i m the lead car with no one come help me so i just keep try till i clear it with engine power. The hardest this time is so many fallen balak..that we have to use 3 chainsaw keep clearing infront of the lead car, lucky we bring along many "Rice eater machine"..hehe

Not much incident happen this time the Disco with broken engine mounting and keep in place with tie-down.the Zuki nearly fall into few hundred feet valley and is safe on time by following car with his winch hook on.Anyway Lata Cermin always give a good fight evertime i go there.

Planed our trip to a well know hardcore trail at Raub Pahang (Cherok)..start our journey on 18 night make a pit stop at Uncle Yau place at Bertam Valley.continue early morning the next day and joint by Ipoh Wei and Langkap Meng, have few hours drive to Raub Pahang follow the not yet completed Ringlet-Raub highway.Regroup at Raub Pertonas and joint in again by few KL offroader.Bad thing happen just at the begining of the trail, one of my group LC broke his windscreen...and we only manage to travel about 20% of the trail and when it started to get harder.the leading LC again had wiring problem. At the time we finish repairing the wiring, there few more team coming in and pile up at our tail.As with all of us running long-wheel base so we thinking letting them go 1st..but then few of our group had gone up far as Yau,Meng,Wei.So now we have to separate to 2 groups,as we waiting for this coming team to clear the obstacle, the trail get harder and harder cos they all running with Volvo portal axle,35" XT,1 or 2 J engine on BJ or Rocky etc.at the end we desite to leave it and come back on other time cos we are running out of time also.with this heavy modifly car also needed to take hours to clear it then how not to think about our Long-Wheel-Base japoly, and this is about 5pm that time.

As we leaving Raub behind,we headed back to Cameron Highland and this is few hours drive again back there.we stop at Ringlet to have our dinner then drive through Tanah Rata,Brinchang,Kampung Raja and exit at Hot-spring.Using GPS mapping given by friend PCLaw,we head to Pos Hendrop...this was a midnight drive again.i happen to side by side with a elephant and i didnt reliase his was there untill he push down a tree infront of my car.haha..this is close.

we camp there for a night and head back home the next day...this is my longest drive of a trip.not on offroad but on tarmac instill...sorry i got less pic this time cost i got so tired when driving back from Raub.

See you next time Cherok...BTW when i write this i heard Cherok had been close for dam building but i also read that there is balak ativity going on there so is about highway there now.anyway had to confirm with friend later.

Below are how to make your PTO winch to what there called "Sun-winch".this is widely use on all competition truck or buggy nowadays.is no hard to do it yourself, find yourself a Prado front diff or what they called Prado 90 on other parts of the world.u can use other type of diff but Prado make work easier cos u can use it house and no need to do extra work on the diff housing.Find yourself a good foundry shop and maybe print few picture on here to show him then your "Sun-winch" will be on your truck soon...

A day trip to Mahang,is actually to test out the newly 8" lifted Jeep Cherokee and a virgin ride on a Suzuki 413.

again our meeting point at Petronas BKE at 9.30am..just at the trail head the virgin Zuki had to do some knocking to clear it XT tyre.while waiting..LC drive by Peter go to play around the area and broke his head lamp.ok..now is just the beginning.

trip going smoothing until the Jeep broke his front propeller shaft on the steep climb than we had to back track back to the river for our lunch.the rain pouring down heavily before we reach the river, the rain had stop us from cooking our lunch but than we had a huge shower for our bath.after the rain stop,we had our lunch and headed back home.At a kilometre or two..at the same decent.it took out 2 of our group steering system.the Jeep with a broken steering box and the Zuki with a broken steering arm.we manage to temporally fix the Zuki and drive it out to tarmac and pass it to toe truck from there on.we had to leave the Jeep sleeping there for a night and go back there the next day.to get the Jeep out,we need to use the winch to do the steering work.this bring it the the tarmac and also pass to toe truck from there on.

is a light and easy trip that turn out not...

A family outing to Cameron Highland, actually plan to have 1 night stay at the jungle but we are invited by our Cameron friend to stay at his house.so a light-core off-road trip turn to a 1 day touring trip.

Anyway we are bring to tour around the Ringlet hill side on some seldom use path, some are dirt and some have concrete on it.At 1 section is so dense that i hardly see the car in front. From Ringlet to Bertam Valley to the under construction Ringlet-Gua Musang highway till the Tea Boh plantation.is a scenic trail to be..and had a lot of Durian along the Orang Asli village..

A big thanks to Cameron Uncle Yau and Langkap Meng for their hospitality..
